The Dubai Sports City Junior League will enter its Christmas Break on the 20th of December, 2015. It is slated to resume on the 16th of January next year.
In the meantime, those who have queries about the league may call us on 04 448 1555 or email our Fixtures Officer Rodrigo Hernando at RodrigoG@dsc.ae.
Held at the Dubai Sports City Football Academy’s world-class facilities, the league has in the past played host to several notable outfits.
These include the Arsenal Soccer School Dubai, the FC Barcelona Escola Dubai, the Desert Rangers Football Club, the Kanoute Football Academy, local club Al Nasr, Francophone detachment Le Club France and the Football Academy’s very own Spanish Soccer School teams.
With teams expected to play across two divisions in each category and plenty of silverware up for grabs at the end of the season, proponents of the beautiful game can expect plenty of trickery on the ball and tactics off it as players give it their all to put one past the opposition en route to victory.
The league runs from October to May, with scheduled breaks for Christmas and Easter, and takes place every Saturday.
Past editions of the leagues have seen several divisions won by the resident Spanish Soccer Schools outfits, with the hosts sweeping to the Under-6, Under-8 and Under-10 divisions, in addition to winning a host of other accolades and honours.
The Football Academy’s FIFA-approved facilities have in the past played host to a variety of international teams, including Premier League quartet AFC Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Swansea City AFC and West Ham United.
In addition, Russian outfits Anzhi Makhachkala and Rostov-on-Don have also trained at Dubai Sports City, with Indian Super League side FC Goa – led by Brazilian World Cup winner Zico – the latest to train at the Academy.
